Dr. Erik Mazur is a native Houstonian. He attended Baylor College of Medicine for medical school followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, serving as Chief Resident. He joins Houston Fertility Specialists after completing a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and a Master of Science in the Clinical Scientist Training Program at Baylor College of Medicine, where he maintains an adjunct faculty position. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and is board eligible in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI).
Dr. Mazur’s research interests include progesterone receptor signaling and uterine receptivity. He has presented his work at international meetings, published in peer-reviewed journals, and has recently authored a chapter on uterine function in the definitive text on human reproductive physiology, Knobil and Neill’s Physiology of Reproduction.
