Dr. Erik Mazur is a native Houstonian. He attended Baylor College of Medicine for medical school followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, serving as Chief Resident. He joins Houston Fertility Specialists after completing a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and a Master of Science in the Clinical Scientist Training Program at Baylor College of Medicine, where he maintains an adjunct faculty position. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and is board eligible in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Dr. Mazurâ€™s research interests include progesterone receptor signaling and uterine receptivity. He has presented his work at international meetings, published in peer-reviewed journals, and has recently authored a chapter on uterine function in the definitive text on human reproductive physiology, Knobil and Neillâ€™s Physiology of Reproduction.
