Dr. Phillip Bounous completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He also received his medical degree and trained as an internal medicine intern at Duke. Before entering into private practice, Dr. Bounous spent four years performing research with the Cardiology Department of Duke University's School of Medicine. He returned to Duke to complete a Masters of Business Administration in 1999. Dr. Bounous is board certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced in New Bern for more than 16 years.
