Dr. Rao joined the Christiana Care medical staff in 2002, following his completion of a one-year vascular fellowship and a one-year cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Buffalo-Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, New York. His special areas of interest include endovascular and open treatments for thoracic and abdominal aortic disease, vascular outcomes studies and limb salvage for critical limb ischemia or critical lack of blood flow. He is board certified in general and vascular surgery.
