Brief Intro

Douglas Boenning, MD, has been a member of the Children's Hospital faculty since 1988 as a pediatric emergency medicine physician. His research interests include pediatric infectious diseases, improving diagnostics, and epidemiology of injuries. From 2000-2001, Dr, Boenning was a Senior Program Officer at the Institute of Medicine and the first Director of the Clinical Research Roundtable. Recent interests have evolved around health policy, medical informatics and patient safety. He is a consultant to the Office of Science and Data Policy in the US Department of Health and Human Services.
