I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and have lived on both coasts, in the South, and in the Midwest. I was drawn to medicine at a young age, as I helped to take care of the people closest to me who battled various health issues over the years. I enjoy the complexity and compassion involved in medicine. While my native language is English, I have studied various languages including Spanish, Japanese, and Latin. In high school, I participated in a Spanish immersion program where all classes were taught in Spanish.
