I was born in China and immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager. My post-secondary education and medical trainings were completed in the Northeast. After studying math and computer science in college, I conducted statistical research at Massachusetts General Hospital. There, I discovered that I was fascinated by medicine. Twenty years later, I still consider medicine the most challenging and fulfilling career a person could have.
