Dr. Bennett started her career in medicine as a registered nurse working primarily in emergency room and acute care settings. She attended medical school at Michigan State University and completed an internship and residency in family practice at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Association.
She served as an associate clinical professor in the preceptor programs at both Michigan State University and at Eastern Michigan University. Before coming to Kingman, she served for ten years as Chief/Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center, Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
In 2005, Dr. Bennett was recognized by Hour magazine as one of the "top doctors" in southern Michigan, which includes the Detroit metropolitan area. This honor resulted from a vote among medical professionals on the area doctor they would most trust with their own family members.
