David R. Mulherin, DDS Oral Surgeon A board certified oral surgeon, Dr. Mulherin received his dental degree from The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. In the U.S. Army he completed his residency at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and served as a captain in the dental corps at Fort Ord, Calif. He completed his surgery training at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where dental implants were being placed years ahead of most programs. Dr. Mulherin later taught in the Galveston program while he built his private practice. He maintains hospital privileges at several facilities in Houston.
