Dr. DAVID ISAAC, ARNP, DNP, PMHNP is a PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONERVIRTUAL PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH PRACTICEHe began his career in 2011 as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working in nursing homes before obtaining his Practical Nursing license in 2014. While working as an LPN in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital, passing medications to at least 50 patients daily, he decided to return to school and became a Registered Nurse in 2016. He continued to work in the same maximum-security psychiatric hospital while enrolled in a graduate nursing program in 2018, and he moved to the state of Washington for an outpatient PMHNP position after graduating in 2020.Dr. Isaac's doctoral work continued at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama while treating adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders both in-person and via telehealth in outpatient and inpatient settings. His doctoral quality improvement project titled "Increasing Bowel Motility and Quality of Life Among High-Risk Clozapine Patients Through Shared Decision-Making Lifestyle Modifications and Bowel Movements Monitoring" was inspired by his belief in not only the importance of mental health, but also that of physical health and shared decision-making in enhancing best patient outcomes. He obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in December 2022. Dr. Isaac treats several mental health disorders and provides a neutral ground to individuals and families.
