David L. McCartney, M.D., a board-certified ophthalmologist, received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio, TX. He completed his residency at the University of California and a fellowship in corneal and anterior segment surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Wilmer Eye Institute of Baltimore, MD. He joined the practice in 1987 and serves as the director of Cornea Service & Refractive Surgery and is the chairman of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences.
