David Suskind, MD, is attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. An expert in intestinal diseases, Suskind has focused much of his energy into clinical care and research for ind¬‚ammatory bowel disease. He is studying the effect of maternal cells in ind¬‚ammatory bowel disease (maternal microchimerism) as well as the effect of maternal cells in biliary atresia. He is chair of the Nutrition Committee at Seattle Children’s. He believes in patient and family empowerment through medical education.
