Brief Intro

Dr. Shepherd was raised in Canton, Ohio. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wittenberg University in 1987. Dr. Shepherd graduated from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis Missouri in 1991, and remained at Washington University to complete his surgery internship and urology residency at Barnes Hospital in 1997. He completed his urologic oncology fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where he was a Clinical Specialist until joining UANT in 2002. Dr. Shepherd is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urologic Association and a candidate member of the Society of Urologic Oncologists. He is experienced with the treatment of all urologic cancers with particular interests in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy and continent urinary diversions.
