Dr. Dung
Dr. David J Dung was raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He went on to attend the University of Pacific in Stockton, California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979.
He then earned is D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) Degree from University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1983 and followed it with a M.S.D. (Masters in the Science of Dentistry) in 1987.
He returned to Honolulu in 1987 to open his private practice with his father Dr. David K. H. Dung who is also an orthodontist. In 1998, Dr. Dung became certified by the American Board of Orthodontist, a distinction held by less than 35% of the orthodontists in the nation.
Dr. Dung maintains offices in Honolulu and Aiea located on the island of Oahu. He also sees patients in Kailua on the island of Oahu, in Lanai City, Lanai, and in Kaunakakai, Molokai.
Dr. Dung continues strive for orthodontic excellence by attending numerous educational programs.  He is active in many professional organizations including:

Papaniho Dental Study Club
During his free time Dr. Dung helps coach his sons Basketball, Baseball and Football teams. He is also involved with organizing summer basketball leagues for young teens.
Dr. Dung assists with the Friends of Hickam, The Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner in Honolulu and has also donated orthodontic services to local charities. He also enjoys golf, ocean activities, traveling and spending time with his family.
