Dr. Strobl is director of Thoracic Cardiovascular Institute's Heart Disease Prevention Program, and is among the first physicians in the U.S. to be certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipid Management. He is Professor of Medicine, and Chair of the Section of Cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been awarded numerous academic honors, including Outstanding Distinguished Lecturer and the Dedication to Teaching Award. Dr. Strobl was nationally recognized in 2002 with the Northrup Award as the National Osteopathic Educator of the Year. He frequently lectures at medical seminars across the country, and has participated in numerous scientific clinical trials that have influenced current management of cholesterol and triglyceride disorders. Dr. Strobl was the cardiologist instrumental in starting the "PATCH Goes to School" heart health program.
