Brief Intro

Dr. David Confer is one of our most experienced surgeons. His educational background began as an honor graduate of the OU School of Pharmacy. Four years later he was top of his class at the OU School of Medicine. Six years later he completed residency at UCLA in Urologic Surgery. Three years in the USAF followed, with the last 2 as Chief of USAF Renal Transplantation. Dr. Confer began private practice here in 1980 and has experience in a large variety of urologic procedures. The procedures he enjoys most are those for cancer, stones, prostate obstruction, and vasectomies. Like many of our surgeons, he has been involved with community, hospital, and other professional responsibilities and activities such as past President of Tulsa County Medical Society, Trustee Oklahoma State Medical Association, Saint Francis Hospital Medical Executive Committee, Chairman Saint Francis Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Associate Professor of Urology at OU College of Medicine-Tulsa, Admissions Committee OU College of Medicine, and Recipient of Teaching Award from the 4th year medical students in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
