David Escalante, MD, has been a practicing endocrinologist for 30+ years. Dr. Escalante aims to help underserved communities while also training the next generation of providers through his extensive experience and expertise. Dr. Escalante grew up in a mission-minded family in Costa Rica. He earned his Medical degree at Universidad de Montemorelos and completed his post-graduate residency and fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He chose endocrinology as his specialty because he understands its effects personally through family members with Type 2 diabetes. Dr. Escalante has been in practice since 1994. Along with providing his patients with exceptional care and uncommon compassion, Dr. Escalante enjoys spending time with his two daughters and is passionate about farming and fishing. Above all, he loves to serve, especially where people need care the most.
