Dr. David Calcagno was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to moving to Central Pennsylvania, Dr. Calcagno was Chief of the Section of Vascular Surgery at Georgetown University, where he was named as one of the most prominent doctors in the nation's capital area by the Washingtonian Physician Survey.Dr. Calcagno was graduated from Tufts University Summa Cum Laude and received his medical degree from Duke University, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.Dr. Calcagno was trained in general surgery at Cornell Medical Center and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in general and vascular surgery, a member of the leading regional and national vascular societies and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
