David A. Kaminskas, MD, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1982, Dr. Kaminskas became the third cardiologist to join Lutheran Medical Group. After graduating from Purdue University with a mechanical engineering degree, he earned a medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus. Dr. Kaminskas completed an internship and residency at University Hospital in Columbus, where he was named outstanding resident by The Ohio State University Department of Medicine. Dr. Kamimskas also completed a cardiology fellowship at University Hospital. Dr. Kaminskas, who is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology, and he is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Heart Association. A clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Fort Wayne Center for Medical Education, Dr. Kaminskas frequently lectures for physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses, and he participates in preceptorships for residents, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at LMG.
