Daniel Schmid, MD, a plastic & reconstructive surgeon whose goal is to safely achieve the best results possible. Since each individual is unique, he believes strongly in tailoring his skills to each patient’s specific needs. He aims to enhance natural beauty without creating an artificial or overdone appearance.
After graduating from Notre Dame (summa cum laude) and Northwestern University Medical School (with Honors), he trained at the University of Wisconsin in plastic surgery and hand surgery. He then went on to complete the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship where he learned state-of-the-art techniques for breast reconstruction including DIEP, SIEA, TRAM, and TUG flaps.
Experienced in the full range of plastic and reconstructive surgery, he has given invited lectures and published research on aesthetic surgery, facial recontouring, aesthetic breast surgery, and breast reconstruction. Dr. Schmid has been a volunteer surgeon for Nicaplast, a volunteer plastic surgery mission for children in Nicaragua and plans to return regularly
