Meet Dr. Dan Nydegger
Dan Nydegger, DDS
Kids are awesome — they are the most honest, resilient, fun people around. If you're young at heart, this is the place for you!
Education and Continuing Education
I received my DDS from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. For the past ten years, I have worked to keep my dental knowledge current. Dentistry is constantly changing, and by participating in continuing education I can assure my patients that they are receiving the best care available.
As a part of my continuing education, I have studied advanced interceptive orthodontics, aesthetic veneers, Invisalign clear aligners and advanced general pediatric dentistry. Continuing education is absolutely crucial in not only maintaining current skills, but expanding one's skill set in order to consistently utilize the latest, most comfortable, up-to-date techniques and materials in the care we give.
In the Office
I love seeing the difference we can make in a patient's life. Seeing a patient give a genuine smile for the first time because they're no longer embarrassed is incredibly gratifying. I also love changing patients' perceptions of dentistry! We frequently see patients who have had terrible experiences in the past, and it's fun to see that perception change as their fears dissolve through their experiences here.
Our staff is the best! They're very experienced working with kids, especially with nervous or scared patients. We like to joke, laugh, and have a good time, and our staff and environment promote that attitude! We know such simple acts can go a long way in helping a patient have a good, positive experience instead of a drab or anxious experience that seems to be so common.
It's typical for us to go through close to 100 candidates before we make an offer for a position. That ensures us that we are getting the best people available to work with us! As a rule, we don't allow anyone to work with us who we wouldn't have work on our own family. That way, we know that we are giving the same quality of care for our patients that we give ourselves and our families.
Family Life
I have lived in Goodyear for close to ten years, and I love it here! My wife, Coby, and I have four wonderful kids named Emily, Gavin, Tayson and Lindy. We also have a hamster and two cats! In my spare time, I enjoy scuba diving, playing the piano or the guitar, and photography. I also frequently participate in health fairs at local schools and in conjunction with other health providers.
