Christopher L. Wise, M.D. comes to DFP Orthopedics as a fellowship trained orthopedic trauma surgeon with special interest in complex fractures of the pelvis, acetabulum, and lower extremity. He also has expertise in fractures that have failed to heal (nonunion), have become infected, or have healed with deformity (malunion). He obtained his medical degree from Saint Louis University and then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University. He then went on to obtain further sub-specialty expertise in orthopedic trauma at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Wise is a member of AO North America, a society dedicated to the advancement of fracture care, and helps teach courses for other orthopedic surgeons. Hospital affiliations include Centerpoint Medical Center and North Kansas City Hospital. He accepts transfer of complex trauma cases from outlying hospitals without trauma expertise.
