Dr. Chris Peters, Professor specializes in adult reconstructive orthopaedic surgery of the hip, and knee. He performs routine, and complex joint replacements and bioregenerative hip preserving operations. One of his specialties includes, the treatment of hip pain in young adults from acetabular dysplasia and/or femoro-acetabular impingement, with pelvic osteotomy or surgical dislocation and osteochondroplasty. Dr. Peters completed his medical education at the University of Southern California and residency at the University of Utah and a fellowship at Rush Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago in total joint replacement. His research interests include patient specific three-dimensional modeling of the hip, the restoration of deficient bone stock in failed joint replacements, biomechanics of total knee and hip components, the treatment of hip pain in the young adult, and development of hip and knee implants.
