Chrissie Wilkins, M.D. is a member of the team at East Alabama Psychiatric Services. Dr. Wilkins earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and completed her fellowship and residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.Dr. Wilkins’ fascination with how the human mind and body work and her passion for caring for others made psychiatry a natural fit for her. She is especially interested in working with underserved populations, and enjoys helping people understand how they can help themselves maintain good mental health. Dr. Wilkins has been married to her husband for eight years and they have one child. In her spare time, Dr. Wilkins enjoys knitting and vegetable gardening, and hopes to have a small farm of her own after settling in the Auburn/Opelika area. Dr. Wilkins is board certified in general psychiatry and board eligible for child/adolescent psychiatry.
