Dr. Charles March completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Southern California. His research has included the investigation of new drugs, one of which is now used to treat certain types of pituitary tumors, another which is used to treat endometriosis, fibroid tumors and to prepare the ovaries for stimulation used in IVF, and another to treat menopausal symptoms. Additionally, Dr. March and colleagues introduced ovarian ultrasound in the early 1980s to make treatment with injectable fertility drugs safer and more effective, along with a unique method of using a combination of oral and injectable fertility drugs to reduce the cost of therapy and frequency of multiple pregnancies. More recently, Dr. March's practice has focused on intrauterine surgery to treat intrauterine scarring (Asherman’s Syndrome) which can develop after a D & C, fibroid surgery and after a cesarean section, as well as conditions that can cause repeated miscarriages and premature labor such as congenital abnormalities of the uterus and fibroid tumors. As a decorated Vietnam veteran, Dr. March understands and appreciate the sacrifices that veterans and their families have made and continue to make. In order to demonstrate his appreciation for those efforts, he has never charged current active duty and spouses for the professional component of their care.
