Dr. Charles Saltzman is the Chairman of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah where he serves as the LS Peery Presidential Endowed Professor. For over two decades, Dr. Saltzman has focused on improving physical function of patients with limited mobility. His primary interests include care of patients with ankle arthritis, athletic injuries of the leg, ankle and foot, and those with tendon, ligmaent, cartilage or bone problems of their feet. He has helped develop new methods for treatment of ankle arthritis (ankle fusion & ankle replacement), midfoot arthritis, ankle/hindfoot arthroscopy and forefoot problems. Dr Saltzman serves nationally in many roles including Director elect of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Chairman of the Managerial Board of Foot and Ankle International, Vice President of the International Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies, Past President of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Co-Editor of the premier subspecialty textbook i"Surgery of Foot and Ankle" and First Vice President of the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons.
