Dr. Charles E. Ives holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He earned his medical doctor degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Surgery at Akron City Hospital, in Akron, Ohio. Among the procedures and surgeries performed by Dr. Ives are laparoscopic gallbladder removal, appendectomy and colon surgery. In addition, he is certified in hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Dr. Ives is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the Norfolk Academy of Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Ives is married and has two children. He enjoys ballroom dancing, inline skating and swimming. Dr. Ives practices with Bon Secours Surgical Specialists.
