As the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Long Island, New York, Dr. LaRosa established an endovascular aneurysm repair program over two years ago. The multidisciplinary program incorporates the latest technologies and state of the art radiographic equipment in offering patients a minimally invasive means of repairing their abdominal aortic aneurysm. This well-respected high volume program has successfully treated many patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms who were denied conventional open surgical repair because of concommitant medical problems.
Dr. Charles A. LaRosa is board-certified in both General and Vascular Surgery. He graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center where he remained to complete a surgical residency and research fellowship. Dr. LaRosa completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He has authored more than twenty-five articles in medical journals and is a Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
