The John Sealy Distinguished Chair in Pediatrics, is held by Dr. Joan Richardson, a 1970 graduate of UTMB and Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.Dr. Richardson is Director of the Division of Neonatology and serves as the UTMBs emergency preparedness officer. She led UTMBs pre and post Ike efforts, and is now helping UTMB prepare for the H1N1 epidemic. Dr. Richardson is also an Osler Scholar.
