Before moving to Basalt, Dr. Bowen was in practice in northern California. He served as chairman of the Department of Family Practice at both El Camino Hospital and Camino Medical Group. He was formerly a volunteer clinical faculty member at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Bowen's special interests are family and sports medicine, diet and nutrition, and complementary medicine. He holds a second degree black belt in martial arts, and he and his wife own a nature photography business including many underwater photographs.
