Dr. Brian Freeman is from Knoxville, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed general surgical training at the University Of Tennessee-Graduate School Of Medicine. He remains interested in teaching and was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Award for Teaching during his residency. His residency was followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at Greenville Health Systems, in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Freeman joined University Vascular in 2018. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery. His clinical practice encompasses all aspects of arterial and venous disease including peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery stenosis, and varicose veins.
