Dr. Baack earned his MD from the University Of New Mexico School of Medicine, and also trained in General Surgery. He completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Southern Illinois University, Springfield, joined the University of New Mexico as a faculty member and served as the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery from 1995-2012. He has authored over 30 publications and textbook chapters, given numerous lectures as an expert in his field, and served as an instructor for plastic surgery residents. He realized his dream of practicing with his brother at Fort Collins Skin Clinic. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of several other professional associations, and enjoys hiking, running, basketball, and golf.
