Dr. Williams earned his undergraduate degree from Wofford College, attended the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and then earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He served his internship and ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Williams is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He lives in Greenville with his wife and 4 children and has been in private practice since 1987. Dr. Williams enjoys doing part-time mission work with his family in Third World countries. He is an avid outdoorsman. Dr. Williams considers ophthalmology a ministry, and his greatest desire is to please the God he serves. His greatest earthly joy is his family.
