Dr. Ferrari specializes in a minimally invasive technique in hip replacement called the anterior approach. Using a specially designed surgical table, surgeons can perform hip replacement surgery while leaving key muscles and soft tissues undisturbed. Dr. Ferrari is an instructor for Homer-Stryker orthopedics for the direct anterior approach to hip replacement. He has trained physicians in courses at the University of New Mexico, the Los Angles area and at El Camino Hospital. Dr. Ferrari is also involved with the DASH (Direct Anterior Surgery for Hip Replacement) Study.
