I decided to go into medicine at a young age in part because my uncle was a physician. I was always interested in science and wanted to help people, so becoming a physician was a perfect fit. I grew up in Washington and have spent most of my life here. I spent seven years in the Navy before joining this organization to focus on the practice of medicine.
