Dr. Anne Butry began practicing pediatrics in August of 1979 when the office was on the corner of Merrill and Woodward Avenue, hence Merrillwood Pediatrics. She attended Wayne State University as an undergraduate and obtained her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and has been on staff since 1979. She was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1982. Dr. Butry is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married to Boris Bluj and has one son. She is fluent in Ukrainian.
