He then completed an additional internal medicine residency at New York Medical College, Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, New Rochelle, where he was named Outstanding Medical Resident. He completed his training with a cardiovascular fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He joined YRMC in 2016 and is the Founding Director of the Vein Center.Dr. Kumar has presented his research work at more than 15 regional, national, and international conferences and symposia. He has participated in several clinical studies and has authored numerous publications including original articles, review articles, letters to the editor, case reports, and abstracts. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Vascular Medicine, Dr. Kumar is affiliated with many other professional societies including the American Venous & Lymphatic Society. He is a ambassador to the Society of Vascular Ultrasound. He serves as a reviewer for British Medical Journal, Vascular Medicine, Journal of Vascular Ultrasound.
