Dr. Andrew Li is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Maryland Oncology Hematology. Dr. Li received his medical degree from Virginia Tech Carilion School Medicine before completing a residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He went on to complete an oncology and hematology fellowship at the University of Maryland Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as the academic and administrative chief fellow. During his fellowship, he received the University of Maryland Medical Center Excellence in Resident Research Award, as well as the University of Maryland Medical Center Fellow Teacher of the Year Award.
Dr. Li has published research in several peer-reviewed publications, including Cancer
Treatment Reviews and Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
In his spare time, Dr. Li enjoys spending time with his wife, son, cat, dog, and other family and friends. He loves to read, hike, cook, bake (bread), and travel both internationally (Florence and Maui are favorites) and to the abundance of restaurants in his home state of Maryland and the surrounding DMV area
