Dr. Andrew Cottingham completed his Bachelor of Science at The University of Wyoming on a football scholarship. He attended Louisiana State Medical School in New Orleans and completed his medical degree. From there he went to Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa for his transitional/family practice internship. He completed his anesthesiology residency at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
He had the privilege to relocate to Texas in 1996 where he joined an anesthesiology group and worked in a large metropolitan teaching hospital. He transitioned to exclusively providing pain medicine services in 2003. He has been providing comprehensive interventional pain therapies that include advanced minimally invasive techniques, ultrasound guided injections and the growing field of regenerative medicine. His interests include family, running, hiking, hunting and computers.
