Brief Intro

Amy Slear, MD is a board certified dermatologist. After finishing her undergraduate education at Yale University, Dr. Slear attended SUNY Downstate for medical school. During medical school, she was elected to the Alpha Omega alpha honor society. She completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate, serving as chief resident in her last year. Dr. Slear currently teaches residents at the New York Harbor VA. Dr. Ellis and Dr. Slear have both dedicated their careers to continuously learning and sharing their skills with others. Both physicians have authored several articles and textbook chapters, and have been invited guest speakers at international meetings. Their desire to give back to the community has led them to participate in skin cancer screenings and a teledermatology program that provides care to New York City%u2019s homeless. Together these fine physicians strive to provide medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatological expertise with compassion.
