Dr. Allen Zieker received his BS in Biology at Mount Saint Mary’s College in Maryland, and his MD at the Albany Medical College of Union University. Dr. Zieker has been with Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region since 1984. Not only does Dr. Zieker provide routine eye health exams, but he also treats the majority of the practice’s cataract patients and performs LASIK and PRK surgeries. Dr. Zieker performs about 100 cataract and refractive surgeries every month. Dr. Zieker is a board-certified ophthalmologist, a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as numerous other prestigious organizations. He has served as the Chief of Ophthalmology for Seton Health Systems and is presently the Medical Director of the Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center in Latham, New York.
