Dr. Hansen-Guzman is a Colorado native who comes from the Denver area. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, she graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver with her Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her residency in Family Medicine and Obstetrics from the University of California, Davis in Sacramento, California. While in residency, Dr. Hansen-Guzman served as the Volunteer Medical Director for Clinica Tepti, a UC Davis student-operated clinic. Dr. Hansen-Guzman is fluent in Spanish and honed in her skills during a three-year Peace Corps Volunteer stint in El Salvador. In addition to serving in the Peace Corps, she has spent countless hours working with charitable organizations that serve the homeless and those afflicted with AIDS. She has been honored with awards and scholarships for her generous service to others. Salud medical and dental services are available at nine community health clinics located throughout Colorado, including Fort Morgan. Salud provides a sliding fee scale to make healthcare affordable and serves all patients regardless of ability to pay. Salud accepts Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+ and private insurance.
