Dr. Ziaee is board certified in cardiology. He graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, were he also completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency, followed by fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Ziaee’s areas of expertise include: performing coronary angiography and angioplasty through the radial artery; transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO); complex coronary interventions; and physiologic assessment of coronary artery disease. He utilizes a flow wire technique to accurately assess the significance of coronary disease prior to stenting. Dr. Ziaee also sees patients for pacemakers and transesophageal echocardiograms.
