Formerly Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota, in charge of Complex Spine, Dr. Mendez joined MeritCare Health System in Fargo, ND on February 2003. Here he continues his neurosurgical practice focused in spinal problems: Degenerative disease, tumors, infections and trauma of the spine. Trained in Minimal Access Spine Technologies, one of the regional pioneers in minimally invassive spine surgery (Metrx, Sextant, etc). His practice also includes general Neurosurgical practice, including pathology of the brain and peripheral nerves.
