Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I knew I wanted to be in medicine for as long as I can remember. I was the kid who looked forward to going to the doctor and getting shots. The doctor would give me the syringes (minus the needles of course) to take home to play with. I used to fill the syringes with water and give pretend shots. Needless to say, my teddy bear was always current with his vaccinations. What I want my patients to know about me:Prior to appointments, I will review a patient's chart including any recent consults or studies. Patients can expect to be treated with respect and dignity. I do my best to translate medical jargon into everyday English. I try to treat my patients as I would like my family to be treated when they go to their doctor's office. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I love spending time with my family - especially my wife, my daughter, and my dog. I enjoy playing disc golf, games and competing in pub trivia with my friends. I also enjoy reading, relaxing outside and cooking on the grill.
