Dr. Patel graduated summa cum laude from University of Delaware and earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. After medical school, she finished a preliminary medicine internship at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA and completed her residency training in ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Patel is trained in comprehensive ophthalmology. She specializes in refractive cataract surgery, including laser-assisted cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses that correct presbyopia and astigmatism, and as well as minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. She is a member of the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
